The 18-year-old Market Harborough resident currently sits fourth in the top-tier championship after scoring a maiden podium finish on debut at the Nurburgring last month.

Norwich-based Emkay Plastics are the UK’s foremost supplier of Rohacell, a foam-based composite used in a wide range of military and civilian applications. An exceptionally lightweight and energy-absorbent design has established Rohacell across the worldwide motorsport industry, with the material prominently used in Formula One bodywork.

The agreement will see Emkay Plastics’ logos feature on Twynham’s Team West-Tec-run Dallara F312 single-seater and overalls throughout the remainder of the season.

Emkay Plastics join existing partners Geodis Wilson, LAPIZTA, Mitchell Rubber Europe, Function Jigsaw and High5 Sports Nutrition as valued supporters of the MSA Academy member’s 2014 programme.

Cameron Twynham: “I’m delighted to be joining forces with Emkay Plastics. After sharing a desire to work together at Silverstone last season, I’m thrilled that we’ve decided to team-up full-time. With their impressive resume of high-end motorsport clients, it felt only natural to enter into this partnership in order to further our mutual ambitions. I’m very thankful for their support so far and excited for what the future holds as I climb the racing ladder.”

Steven King, Emkay Plastics Managing Director: “It’s an honour and a privilege for us to sponsor a rising star of the racing world!”

Paul Meek, Emkay Plastics Financial Director: “We are proud to have formed this partnership with Cameron. We believe that he has a bright future ahead of him and feel privileged to be part of his journey.”

Meanwhile, Cameron will be aiming for a top-three finish at next weekend’s fourth EuroFormula Open round in Hungary.

“After evaluating our difficult Portimao and Jerez weekends we’re confident we’ve found some answers,” Twynham added. “The entire team has been working incredibly hard to find a good balance between managing tyre degradation and extracting performance, so we’re cautiously optimistic for the Hungaroring.”
