Automobili Lamborghini RACING TEAM GERMANY participated again with their two well-known Lamborghini Super Trofeos # 21 (Carina Lima - Portugal) and # 22 (Jeroen Mul - Netherlands). At this weekend Carina was assisted from a co-driver: The portuguese Alexandre Martins.

During the first free practice session Jeroen Mul already has been set a sign for this weekend with his first place. Carina Lima and Alexandre Martins had to familiarise oneself with the unknown track in the heavily starting field of 28 cars.

The following qualifying went according to the plan for Jeroen Mul #22 : Due to the extremely high outside temperatures the team had decided to send Jeroen only for a few laps into the quali to save the tires. After 5 laps he cracked the pole-time - and came back into the pits.
Not till two laps of the end of the Quali adversary Piscopo has cracked Jeroen pole-time, after 11 completed laps . Therefore Jeroen finished the qualification in the front row of starting-position 2 for the first race. This fact was okay because of Jeroens better tires for the races.
The driver duo of # 21 - Carina Lima / Alexandre Martins - finished the qualifying with a reasonably position 23.

Race 1 started on Saturday, on time at 10.15am. Even though the red lights evidentially were not out at the race-start, Pavlovic / Piscopo in grid position 1 and its Bonaldi teammates at positions 3 and 4 pushed at the same time the gas pedal and thus lost Mul directly at the start of the race his 2nd position. He accepted the red lights because he don't want to risk a drive-through penalty. So he came out of the first corner in position 4. During the race he has shown the spectators and his team thrilling duels and overtaking of the two cars in front of him. He finished the first race in overall position 2 - pleasure for his team Leipert Motorsport/Automobili Lamborghini RACING TEAM GERMANY.
#21 Carina Lima and Alexandre Martins crossed the finish line after an exciting race in position 23.

Race 2 started on Saturday at 4.15pm, under clear blue sky and heat records.
Now all the drivers respected the starting lights and Jeroen Mul in the # 22 was able to defend his second place. During the first half of the race two cars are able to overtake Jeroen at the same time in an unlucky moment. He could follow the trio without problems, but due to the high temperatures the tires lost grip and he couldn't pass the other cars.

Through a tactically well-planned pit stop strategy of the team Jeroen came in the pits directly after opening of the pit stop window. He came back on the track just behind the leader. During the second part of the race he was able to overtake the leader Vavaroussis.
Jeroen Mul crossed the finish line as the winner and reached his third overall victory during the season - after his double victory at Silverstone.
# 21 Carina Lima / Alexandre Martins were happy about a good position 23 from 28 started cars.

Team Owner Ingo Leipert:
"We are proud of the victory and 2nd place by Jeroen Mul. In the overall standings of the PRO-Category he is still one point behind the leading duo Pavlovic / Piscopo. We look forward to the next race on our home track - the Ardennes rollercoaster at Spa-Francorchamps. Jeroen will reshuffle the pack.

For reasons of time Carina Lima is not able to start the race in Spa-Francorchamps, but Alexandre Martins will participate with car 21 without co-driver. "
