Success Is Imminent For Geico Honda's Tomac Heading To Redbud

After making a remarkable return to motocross in Muddy Creek last weekend, GEICO Honda 450cc rider Eli Tomac looks to continue his comeback when he heads to the RedBud National, Saturday, in Buchanan.

"After making the return I did last weekend at Muddy Creek, I just want to keep building off of that for RedBud," Tomac said. "If I get the starts that I did in both motos, I feel like I will be in a good position for another podium finish. The key for me though will be getting closer to the KTM boys to try to battle for the win.

"I felt great on the bike this weekend and I know that if I keep training, races will just get easier moving forward. I'm focused on winning races and excited to see what the rest of this motocross season holds."

Starting this weekend, Tomac will be joined by Christian Craig, a former professional 450 motocross rider, for the next three races on the schedule and also the Indiana National. While he retired at the end of the 2013 season, Craig is ready to make a comeback of his own at RedBud.

"I haven't raced professionally in a while but I've been practicing a lot for this chance," Craig said. "Even after being away for so long, my expectations are to get a top 10 but I'd be OK with a top 15 as well.

"I'm going to go out there and have fun but at the same time I'm going to take this opportunity seriously. I want to bring home a good result for myself and for the entire GEICO team as well. I've finished 10th overall at RedBud before, and I hope that I can bring home that kind of result again as I represent the GEICO team."

MAVTV will carry the first moto live from 1-3 p.m. ET. Programming will then shift to NBC for the second 450 moto, which will air live from 3-4 p.m.
