Ecurie Ecosse Bids For Success With Sma Vehicle Remarketing

Ecurie Ecosse Powered By Black Bull is delighted to announce independent motor auction group, SMA Vehicle Remarketing, as a partner for the remainder of this season’s domestic and European GT campaigns.

Prominent SMA branding will feature on the team’s Barwell Motorsport-run BMW Z4 GT3 – currently competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series and British GT Championship – for the rest of 2014, as well as the blue riband 24 Hours of Spa event later this month.

In British GT, Marco Attard and BMW Motorsport factory driver Alexander Sims are currently vying for the lead in what is proving to be a very competitive season. Meanwhile, in the Blancpain Endurance Series, drivers Alasdair McCaig, Andrew Smith and Olly Bryant currently occupy equal-fifth in the standings ahead of July’s eagerly anticipated trip to Spa-Francorchamps.

SMA Vehicle Remarketing join existing partners Black Bull Whisky, John Clark Motor Group, Cotton Tree, Elephant, The Calais Wine Superstore and Ragus as valued supporters of the legendary Scottish squad’s pan-European GT programme.

Andrew Smith, Ecurie Ecosse Driver: “We were actively seeking kindred spirits to support our pursuit of two of the world’s most prestigious racing series and, in SMA, we immediately recognised a great fit in terms of their ambition and drive. It’s clear they plan to be a very active supporter.”

Bob Anderson, SMA Managing Director: “This partnership reflects our own competitive and racing culture – speed is an important differentiator and in remarketing it is an area in which we excel. Ecurie Ecosse is a famous and successful Scottish racing brand with a well-respected heritage that is actively competing across the UK and Europe. Whilst we have no plans for expansion into Europe at this time, the wider synergy is a perfect reflection of our own approach; a rich heritage, clear vision for the future, speed and a competitive DNA are exactly what SMA is all about.”

Ecurie Ecosse’s new partnership with SMA Vehicle Remarketing will come as a boost ahead of their relentless Spa-Francorchamps schedule next month. Their domestic GT campaign will resume in the Ardennes on July 11/12, serving as ideal preparation for Belgium’s twice-around-the-clock epic two weeks later.
