Sachsenring Is Calling For Team JiR Webike And Nagashima

Young Japanese ace Tetsuta Nagashima is looking forward to making his debut on the German Sachsenring circuit this weekend.

That is the location of round nine of the Moto2 championship where – once again – the 21-year-old will be facing a circuit for the first time. The Sachsenring is one of the shortest on the calendar – at 3.67km (2.28 miles) – different from the original layout which was around 8.6 kilometers (5.34 miles) long. The track hosted its first race back in 1927 and has been on the MotoGP calendar since 1998.

Tetsuta Nagashima has been working hard to ensure that he can adapt his riding style still further to the demands of the Moto2 championship and will be hoping to move nearer towards the points at this weekend’s race.

Tetsuta Nagashima, Teluru team JiR Webike’s rider

“Since coming back from Assen, I have been quite busy with a test for the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance race and I also spent some days riding a supermotard bike with some other riders. Riding different bikes has also helped give me some tips on changing my riding style on my Moto2 machine and now I can't wait for this weekend in Germany. Although the track is new to me as always, I'm fit physically because of all this training so I'm ready for the weekend. As I regret my fault when I fell in Assen, I'll try not to make any mistakes this weekend, and give of my best again!”
