2014 New Hampshire: TriStar Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview


The NASCAR Nationwide Series heads north to the Granite State this weekend for the Sta-Green 200. After a rocky weekend in the Sunshine State, TriStar Motorsports drivers are looking for redemption in New Hampshire. Known as the "Magic Mile", New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058-mile oval speedway, located in Loudon, NH. Pre-Race notes below:

Eric McClure, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry

Eric McClure will make his eighth start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend and his 241st overall career Nationwide Series start. McClure has an average starting position of 35.1 and an average finishing position of 28.4. In 2011, McClure finished 20th, which is his best finish at NHMS to date. McClure has over 130 starts at speedways between one to two miles in length. After finishing 22nd last weekend in Daytona, McClure is ready to race at the 1.058-mile speedway.

Mike Bliss, No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry

Mike Bliss will make his 329th career NNS start this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With nine starts at NHMS, Bliss has an average starting position of 14.1 and an average finishing position of 18.7. He has one top-5 and two top-10 finishes at the Magic Mile. After qualifying 20th at NHMS in 2013, Bliss brought home a 17th place finish. After two rocky weekends of bad luck, Bliss is looking for redemption in the Granite State.

Matt Frahm, No. 44 Gilchrist Metal Fabrication Camry

Matt Frahm has nine career Nationwide Series starts, two of which have been at his home-track New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The Salem, New Hampshire native has an average starting position of 28.0 and an average finishing position of 25.5 at NHMS. Frahm's best finish came in 2012 when he qualified 21st and finished 25th. This will be Frahm's first race with TriStar Motorsports.
