ISR Racing Hits The Top-10, Hopes To Improve Further At The Nurburgring

The sixth round of the 2014 World Series by Renault went underway today at the famed Nürburgring, and I.S.R. Racing lined-up at the German venue with the goal of continuing in what has been a really positive season so far with two podium finishes on their toll.

The weather proved tricky since the beginning, as while the track was dry, some mist and a thick fog forced the series to revamp the timetable and also altered the grip levels, forcing the teams to play catch-up with their work.

Anyway, 21-year-old Malaysian racer Jazeman Jaafar was off to a day of solid work in an effort to constantly improve the car for the rest of the weekend. Jaafar managed to make his way to the top-10 in the first session with a 9th place, before having to settle for 18th in the second.

He and the team will work hard to perfect the car. They will be back on-track tomorrow for the first qualifying session of the weekend at 9:15 local time, before lining-up for Race 1 at 12:35.

Jazeman Jaafar - S1 P9 - S2 P18
"Thing went on pretty ok and we did all the work we had programmed. On the other hand we still have to improve. There is not too much grip so in the end we are lacking some overall speed. We're definitely going to try and be back challenging at the front although it's not going to be easy, but I look forward to tomorrow's Qualifying 1 and Race 1".
