Goodyear, NASCAR East at Loudon

Sometimes all you need is a Little break.

That’s what Jesse Little discovered with less than a lap remaining in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Granite State 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Little was third when he took the white flag, indicating the start of the final lap of the event, dodged the crashing leaders, and won the race.

Every starter in the 31-car field raced on Goodyear Eagle bias-ply racing tires. Goodyear is the sole tire supplier of the East series, as well as the Official Tire of NASCAR. The tiremaker also supplies the tires for NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series West and Canadian Tires Series.

Little started second and did not lead the race until the final lap. On the final lap, race leader Nick Drake and Brandon Jones, running second at the time, came together while racing for the lead, opening the door for Little.

Veteran Eddie MacDonald took second, followed by Cale Conley, Jay Beasley and Chad Finley. The winner averaged 74.947 mph for the 100-lap distance around the 1.058-mile oval.

Ben Rhodes, who went into the race with a four-race win streak, started on the pole after posting a lap averaging 128.580 in qualifying. Rhodes finished 22nd but held on to the lead in the championship standings.

Goodyear employs about 69,000 people at manufacturing plants and facilities in 22 nations. Based in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear is among the largest tiremakers in the world and is the worldwide leader in race tire innovation.
