The victory on the quarter-mile Edmonton oval was Ranger’s 19th in series competition. He is tied with D.J. Kennington for the all-time series win mark. Ranger has 15 wins on road racing circuits and four on ovals.

Ranger, Kennington and the rest of the drivers competed on Goodyear bias-ply racing tires. Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Canadian Tire Series as well as for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West programs. The three series share a common rulebook and use the same line of tires.

Ranger started fifth and passed pole sitter Alex Tagliani on lap 268. The race was scheduled for 300 laps but was extended to 316 laps to complete a green, white, checkers finish.

L.P. Dumoulin finished second, .177 seconds behind the winner. Jason Hathaway took third, followed by J.R. Fitzpatrick and Kennington. Tagliani won the pole with a lap averaging 71.919 mph. Ranger averaged 42.290 mph for the race distance.

Fitzpatrick and Dumoulin are tied for the lead in the championship standings with 162 points each.

Goodyear employs about 69,000 people at manufacturing plants and facilities in 22 nations. Based in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear is among the largest tiremakers in the world and is the worldwide leader in race tire innovation.
