Putman and Espenlaub have had a tough season in 2014 being the victim of numerous unavoidable on-track incidents that have hampered their overall performance but the goal of finishing the 2.5-hour race and improving the car was accomplished. The team is planning some aggressive testing to get the season back on track.

#46 Fall-Line Motorsports Audi R8 LMS Driver Quotes: Finished P16

Charlie Putman: "We seem to be stuck 'in a fold in the time warp continuum.' Bad luck, also known as 'those factors you cannot control,' seems to be our constant companion this year. We lost two of the three test sessions at Mosport due to uncontrollable circumstances, and started the race with only a couple of laps in the car for both Charles and me. Nathan (McBride- engineer) did an incredible job of giving us a safe race setup in spite of only having half a dozen laps worth of data to work off of. The crew did their usual excellent pit stops yet we received a penalty for an errant wheel nut that casually, and barely rolled out of the limits of our pit box during the final pit stop. At the risk of sounding like a broken record I have to say that the team is executing at an incredible high level, yet circumstances are not letting us show the potential of the Fall Line Audi R8 LMS program. All of that said and accepted, we are just not happy with the results sheets this year. We are in deep planning sessions developing a plan to overcome these universal forces that seem intent on doling out bad luck to us this season. We are still in there fighting and love the support that the fans keep showing for our beautiful Audi and the hard work of the best team out there."

Charles Espenlaub: "Racing is a tough sport. There are lots of rough situations to work through. The great team at Fall Line continues to overcome adversity and work even harder. We leave Canada with an Audi R8 LMS intact and look forward to a great race at Indianapolis."

Michael Harvey, Fall-Line Motorsports Team Manager: "Unfortunately we experienced a tough time in Canada results-wise although the team did a great job. We are moving forward aggressively looking at getting our season back on track and we are so fortunate to have great partners in Audi Sport customer racing whom we will work together with to get back to the front. We have a strong program and a great car in the Audi R8 LMS but the field is so competitive in 2014. We are looking forward to Indianapolis and beyond."

Fall-Line Motorsports is a premiere builder and fabricator of racecars for all levels of competition. Fall-Line specializes in BMW, Porsche, Audi and other high-performance makes. Fall-Line Motorsports unveiled their Grand-Am team in 2006 and won the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS Championship title in 2010.
