3rd Place For Isaac Tutumlu On Friday At Silverstone

Despite rainy conditions do not favour the features of the Chevrolet Corvette C6/ZR1, Tutumlu and Barzani Racing Team finished 3rd among Super GT racers. Presumably tomorrow will have similar weather conditions with rain playing an important role during the day.

Isaac Tutumlu and his new teammate, the British Archie Hamilton, have finished 3rd fastest Super GT car in the timesheets, as today two free practice sessions of the International GT Open have taken place at Silverstone. At the wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette C6/ZR1 entered by Selleslagh Racing Team they both finished 6 th in their class early in the morning when the track conditions were really difficult due to rain. Later, in the second free practice session and when track conditions had improved, the duo of the yellow Chevrolet clocked a time of 2:04.145, 3rd in Super GT.

"Finally we managed to finish in third place and it isn´t a bad start taking into account heavy rain started to fall in the morning, and Chevrolet cars don´t stand out from the field on wet track. Let´s see how weather conditions develop tomorrow, because the forecast for tomorrow is rain again. So we have to wait and see whether our car perfectly works in such circumstances", Tutumlu has explained afterwards.

Tomorrow both qualifying sessions take place in the morning with race one, with a duration of 70 minutes, is due to start at 16.00.
