Ian James (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Mario Farnbacher (Ansbach, Germany) are looking for some magic around the redesigned 2.4-mile, 14 turn road course that runs through the infield of the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The duo are currently sixth in the GTD standings which is strong for a first year team. The duo tested at the billiard table smooth track at the end of June hopefully giving them a strong start to the two-day race weekend.

"I've raced there twice in the IMSA Continental Tire Series with a best result of eighth," James said. "They have done a good job on the redesign. It is a little more flowing, higher speed and has better grip. I am going to miss using Turn One of the oval which used to be a superfast turn. Our goal coming into the season, even though we are a new team, was to win races and challenge for the championship, plain and simple. We are improving every race and have had some good finishes. We need a win."

Teammate Farnbacher likes the layout and the setting.

"I have always watched the Indy 500 on TV," Farnbacher said. "When I drove into the infield for the first for the test last month, it was like wow! The place is so big. In Europe we don't have anything like that for motor racing. The Alex Job engineering team had run there before so we had a good baseline set-up for the test and it was a matter of getting used to the circuit. I hope that the test will pay dividends with a very good race for us on Friday."

Alex Job, team owner, has the No. 23 Team Seattle-Heart of Racing Porsche on the cusp of a win.

"Team Seattle-Heart of Racing Porsche is close to getting that first win," Job said. "Ian and Mario have had good runs, but need just little extra piece of luck to put them on the top step of the podium. We've had good finishes at Detroit and Sebring, two of the toughest races on the schedule. I think they are due for a break through here sooner than later."

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship will travel to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for round five, July 11-13. The television broadcast will air Sunday, July 13
2:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Live race streaming can be viewed at IMSA.com
Or on the FOX Sports GO mobile app. The live radio broadcast will air on the Motor Racing Network on IMSA.com, MRN.com, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
