Emil Bernstorff Takes Podium Number 4 At Hockenheim

A solid qualifying in P4 saw Bernstorff line up on the inside of the track. Bernstorff got off the line well and tried to go up the inside on the short run to turn one but was blocked so instead took to the middle of the track. When Yelloly in front stayed behind Lynn on the inside into T2 Emil took the long route went the outside to claim third position. For the remainder of the race Emil Bernstorff put a lot of pressure on Lynn but could not get past and finished on the last step of the podium, securing his 4th podium in the last 5 races.

In the reverse grid race 2 on Sunday morning Bernstorff started in P6 and although he had a good start could not make up any places into turn 1 and turn 2. He unfortunately then got boxed in and lost several positions in T6 the hairpin. He managed to fight back but when running in 6th was torpedoed from behind and spun when Kirchofer tried to overtake Stoneman into the hairpin for 7th position. The car was to damaged to continue.

Emil’s take on the weekend “Although it didn’t end in the best possible way we take a lot of positives from this weekend, we had good speed in qualifying and race one and I learnt a lot so I feel better prepared for Hungaroring.”

Next round is at Hungaroring in Budapest on July 26-27
