The Formula One F1 series has completed practice session one for the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring Circuit in Budapest, Hungary. Leading a Mercedes domination of the session was Lewis Hamilton and his No. 44 Mercedes with a lap of 1:25.814 out of a total 27 laps.

Second quick was Hamilton's teammate and 2014 Formula One World Drivers championship points leader Nico Rosberg and his No. 6 Mercedes with a lap of 1:25.997 which was nearly two tenths off the Briton's pace.

Kimi Raikkonen and his No. 7 Ferrari were asked to step it up and deliver points, the Finn was best of the rest yet a woeful six tenths off the leaders pace. Fernando Alonso and his No. 14 Ferrari faired even worse at a full one second disadvantage.

Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and his No. 1 Red Bull Racing-Renault are use to being at the front rather than running fifth quick and trailing by nearly one and a half seconds a lap.

Kevin Magnussen and his No. 20 McLaren-Mercedes was sixth quick followed by Jean-Eric Vergne (STR-Renault), Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull Racing-Renault), Jenson Button (McLaren-Mercedes), and Felipe Massa (Williams-Mercedes).

Next up for the Formula One F1 series will be practice session two in about two hours.
