Chevy Day & Team Chevy Racing Display Return To Indianapolis Motor Speedway


Race fans will get the opportunity to see up close race-car drivers such as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Danica Patrick, and cars like Corvette Stingray convertible and Camaro Z/28 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend.

Fans visiting IMS for the NASCAR and IMSA Kroger Super Weekend will again have the opportunity to experience the Team Chevy Racing Display, filled with show cars, Chevrolet production vehicles, and Chevrolet Performance Parts crate engines, parts and accessories, and participate in autograph and question-and-answer sessions with some of racing’s biggest names during Chevy Day.

"Chevrolet and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have such a long history together, and we’re looking forward to bringing Chevy Day and the Team Chevy Racing Display back to the famed Brickyard," said Jan Thomas, NASCAR Marketing Manager, Chevy Racing. "There are many things for fans to see and experience. Fans can get autographs from their favorite drivers, and ask questions during the Q&A. In addition, fans can view Chevy’s newest products and spend time with one of our friendly product specialists to learn more about our great vehicle lineup. And there will be some cool show cars, too, like the No. 24 1994 Chevrolet Lumina that Jeff Gordon drove to victory in the very first Brickyard 400, Jimmie Johnson’s 2014 Chevrolet SS and our Corvette C7.R race car."

The Team Chevy Racing Display - where fans can see and learn more about vehicles such as Chevrolet SS, Camaro Z/28, Volt, Corvette Stingray convertible, Corvette Z06, Trax, Malibu 4G LTE, Sonic RS, Cruze Diesel, Malibu, Impala, and Traverse - will be located in the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and will be open 8 a.m.—8 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m.—6:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m.—1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The display will also feature Transformers 4 Bumblebee and Stingray CrossHairs show cars.

Fans who sign up with Team Chevy will receive a commemorative Heritage t-shirt.

Drivers will sign autographs during two separate sessions on Chevy Day Friday. To receive an autograph, fans must first obtain a wristband, which will be distributed at Pagoda Plaza starting at 8 a.m. Friday. Each session will be limited to 150 wristbands.

In addition, Team Chevy drivers will participate in question-and-answer sessions at the Team Chevy Racing Display stage.
