Leh Keen (Charleston, S.C.) had the controls of the No. 22 WeatherTech Racing Porsche for the 15-minute qualifying session. As he began to get heat into the Continental tires, usually come up to optimum temperature on lap three, he noticed a noise coming from the rear-end. Even with the issue, he turned a lap of 1:26.767 good for 10th place on the GTD grid.

In the previous practice, he turned a 1:26.647, which was third fastest of the second practice session. Teammate Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), who also turned fast laps, will have his work cut out for him at the beginning of the two-hour-and-forty-five-minute race that takes the green flag tomorrow at 5:45 p.m.

"It looks like we have a problem with the differential," Keen said. "Under braking, I was hearing some odd noises coming from the rear of the car and the guys looked at it after qualifying and we think it is a diff issue. We are going to fix it and reset tomorrow for the warm-up. In the first two practices, we showed some good speed. We were third and fifth in practice, so we took a mechanical step back in qualifying. We have a good baseline on the car. We will be ready for the race."

MacNeil has turned some good laps and has some work to do at the start tomorrow.

"The car was pretty good this morning," MacNeil said. "The crew is working hard to get the last bit of handling out of the car. We were able to translate the speed from the test over to today, but we are just looking for that last bit of speed. In qualifying, something might have broken in the rear differential. It is unfortunate. We are starting 10th, so nothing but opportunity in front of me for the start."

Alex Job, team owner, is fine tuning.

"We tested here at the end of June and showed good speed," Job said. "Of course you never know where you measure up until everyone is on the track. We were searching for the last little couple of tenths today. It is tough that we had the mechanical issue in qualifying, we may have been able to fight for the pole. We will get it ready for the warm-up and be good for the race tomorrow night."

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Brickyard Grand Prix round six, July 24-25 will be broadcast live starting at 5:30 p.m. ET Friday. Live race streaming can be viewed at IMSA.com or on the FOX Sports GO mobile app. The live radio broadcast will air on the Motor Racing Network on IMSA.com, MRN.com, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GTD (GT Daytona) Class is made up of some the world's most sophisticated cars, including the Porsche 911 GT America, Ferrari 458, Aston Martin, BMW Z4, Viper SRT and Audi R8. All GTD Class cars run on the spec Continental tire.

Alex Job Racing is one of the most successful teams in sports car racing with 70 wins (since 1995); including two Rolex 24 GT Class wins in 1999 and 2013. This record is supported by 48 pole positions and 106 podium finishes. The team has won five championships (GTC 2013, 2012, GT in 2004, 2003 and 2002) complimented by their two GT class wins at Le Mans. The team also boasts nine Sebring 12-hour wins.
