2014 Hungary GP: Formula One F1 Practice Two Results - Hamilton Again!

By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers

The Formula One F1 series has completed practice session two for the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix GP at the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary. And the butt-kicking continued with Lewis Hamilton and his No. 44 Mercedes dominating all comers by a brilliant two tenths of a second. His lap time of 1:24.482 was only challenged by his teammate Nico Rosberg and his No. 6 Mercedes with a lap of 1:24.720.

Behind, Sebastian Vettel and his No. 1 Red Bull Racing-Renault was best of the rest with a lap of 1:25.111 which was a pitiful .629 seconds off Hamilton's leading pace.

Meanwhile the 2015-focused Fernando Alonso and his No. 14 Ferrari were fourth quick and nearly a second off the pace with Kevin Magnussen and his No. 20 McLaren-Mercedes rounding out the top five on the timesheets.

Further back, the times get worse with Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) was sixth quick followed by Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull Racing-Renault), Valtteri Bottas (Williams-Mercedes), Jenson Button (McLaren-Mercedes), and Felipe Massa (Williams-Mercedes).

Williams was thought to be a possible challenger to the Mercedes duo this weekend, but thus far, they are not.

Next up for the Formula One series will be practice session three on Saturday ahead of qualifying for the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix.
