Ford at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Ford overall wins at the Brickyard: 12

Open Wheel: 8 (Drivers – Jim Clark; Graham Hill; AJ Foyt; Mario Andretti; Al Unser; Jacques Villeneuve; Buddy Lazier).

NASCAR Sprint Cup: 3 (Dale Jarrett; Ricky Rudd).

Sports Car: 1 (Sebastien Bourdais & Alex Popow).

Scott Pruett, driver of the No. 01 Telcel Ford EcoBoost Riley, has recorded Top-10 finishes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Indianapolis 500 (10th in 1989), Brickyard 400 (10th in 2000) and Brickyard Grand Prix (2nd in 2012 & 2013). His 10th-place effort in the 2000 Brickyard 400 driving the No. 32 Tide Ford for Cal Wells marked his best NASCAR Sprint Cup Series finish on an oval.

SCOTT PRUETT: “We’re so close. We just need a little something to kick us over the top. We’ll keep looking, trying to figure it out. We have 15 min. tomorrow during the warm-up. I think it’s (still a BoP) issue. The car is pretty solid, pretty good. We ran around with some of the cars this morning. Top speed we’re OK, but acceleration, we’re not quite there. We’ll see. We just have to keep on going and get the best out of the car we can and hopefully at some point IMSA will take a look back at it and try to even things back out again.”

OZZ NEGRI: “We made some improvements again on P2 and we went further and now we’ve gone backwards. We are definitely not on the bulls-eye here. We keep drifting when it comes to qualifying and it’s just really frustrating. In qualifying, the car was pretty loose. We changed quite a bit though, and on the last lap under braking the left front suspension just collapsed. Not sure what happened, they will check, but really frustrated. We want to be much further forward.”
