The British Formula 3 championship lined up at Spa as a supporting act for the Spa 24hr race. Although quite a frustrating weekend for Kaminsky the Double R racer, with one top ten result, Kaminsky retained his championship placing of sixth overall in the points table

The grid was a blend of some new entries to the championship which saw some drivers and teams running with European specification cars, which were not eligible for championship points. Fridays first race saw Kaminsky use the first race to learn the track, which covers 7km per lap and is well known for being one of the toughest and most demanding circuits in the world.

Kaminsky started race one in 13th and remained there until a re-start after a safety car was brought out, he then moved into 12th and then managed to make his way up to the top ten but was elbowed back down into 12th towards the end of the race.

Race two, now armed with more track experience enabled Kaminsky to get into the top ten again, and take the chequered flag in 10th position on the Friday afternoon.

The third and final race of the Spa weekend, took place on the Saturday morning. Kaminsky began in 12th position on the grid and was able to hold his 12th place until a few laps before the end where he was pushed back a position, after having trouble with tyres and grip levels thru out the race.

Kaminsky said about his experience this weekend, "The weekend was an incredible experience, being able to race at Spa and especially in a Formula 3 car. Overall the weekend was tougher than others, my main priority was getting used to the track, as it was my first time there. The weekend had it challenges, but from this I’ve been able to learn and improve my skills."

Kaminsky will continue the British Formula 3 Championship at Thruxton, Hampshire which will begin from the 16th August.
