4 Domestic Channels Live For WTCC Race Of Argentina


Eurosport Events announces comprehensive free to air and pay TV coverage next weekend from Termas de Río Hondo.

The next round of the FIA WTCC in Termas de Río Hondo will get exceptional domestic TV coverage in Argentina, as no less than four major TV channels are going to broadcast live the event.

The deals confirmed today by Eurosport Events, promoter of the FIA WTCC, are as follows:

Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd August

* Fox Sports 3 will broadcast the testing at 12:00 local time and the free practice 1 and free practice 2 on Saturday 2nd August at 08:10 and 11:30 local time. In addition qualifying will be also broadcast live at 15.00 to 16.30

* Fox Sports will broadcast the Qualifying will also be broadcast live at 15.00 to 16.00

Sunday 3rd August

* Fox Sports will broadcast live the two races, at 14:00 (Race 1) and 16:30 (Race 2) hours local time.

* Canal 7 national public broadcaster will also broadcast live the two races on Sunday;

* Canal 12 regional channel of Córdoba will broadcast live the two races on Sunday.

In addition, a dedicated magazine of the event will be shown the week following the event in the ''Cars, the WTCC Magazine'' on Fox Sports 3.

François Ribeiro, Eurosport Events Director of Operations, commented: “For its second edition at Termas, we are delighted to offer best possible domestic TV coverage of WTCC Race of Argentina. Touring car means so much in Argentina ! One country, one flag, one hero : it’s 57 years that Argentina is waiting for a racing World Champion since Fangio. After a successful first half season, expectations behind Pechito López are just tremendous in the entire region.”

According to latest Eurosport Events figures, the 2014 season of the FIA WTCC is being broadcast in more than 186 countries worldwide, via a network of over 90 broadcasters.
