Tickets Selling Fast With One Month To Go Until MotoGP Comes To Silverstone

With just one month to go until the world’s premier motorcycling event returns to British soil, tickets are selling quickly as the traditional MotoGP™ summer break comes to a close. After last year saw record numbers of fans through the gates to watch spectacular racing and on-track battles right up to the very last lap, Silverstone is expecting another bumper crowd for 2014. With some grandstands already sold out and limited availability in others, Silverstone’s organisers are urging fans to snap up their tickets to this year’s Hertz MotoGP™ British Grand Prix (29 – 31 August).

There are now only two rounds left until fans get to experience the sights, smells and sounds of the world’s elite riders and bikes when the lights go out at the start of the race on Silverstone’s thrilling high-speed circuit. With it comes the chance to support Britain’s own MotoGP™ superstars, Bradley Smith, Cal Crutchlow, Michael Laverty and last year’s Moto2™ British Grand Prix winner Scott Redding, as they fight for glory in front of the passionate home crowd.

Reigning Champion Marc Marquez will have last year’s final-lap battle with winner Jorge Lorenzo fresh in his mind as he pushes for his first victory at the British Grand Prix, while crowd favourite Valentino Rossi will attempt to steal the limelight from his Spanish competitors.

Richard Phillips, Silverstone’s Managing Director, commented: “After record crowds and three spectacular races in MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ at last year’s British Grand Prix, tickets are selling well for 2014. Luffield and Woodcote A grandstands are already sold out, and National Pits Straight and Woodcote B are almost at capacity. We are encouraging fans who want to come and see their favourite riders in action to book now to make sure they reserve their preferred option.”
