• Racing for a Cause This will be the first event of the 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East that Bassett Jr. will have the Just As I Am Down Syndrome Awareness logo on the hood of the No. 04 Toyota Camry. Just As I Am is a foundation that brings awareness to Down Syndrome, a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. One in every 691 babies in the United States are born with Down Syndrome, making Down Syndrome the most common genetic condition. Bassett Jr. has two younger brothers with Down Syndrome and supports several events and foundations to help bring awareness.

• Master of Consistency In the past eight NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races, Bassett Jr. has three top-five finishes and six top-10 finishes dating back to Greenville Pickens Speedway, where he recorded a season-best result of second.

• Get to the Points Bassett Jr. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina fell from the 7th position to the 8th position, a mere 16 points from 5thposition in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East driver point standings after an 11th place finish at Columbus Speedway. Bassett Jr. has three top-five finishes, and seven top-ten finishes in 13 career starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

• Autolite Iridium XP 150 The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to Iowa Speedway for the 11th time in series history for the Autolite Iridium XP 150. Iowa Speedway, a .875-mile progressive banked asphalt oval was designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, and patterned after Richmond International Raceway. • Ronnie Bassett Jr. "This is an event all of us at Bassett Racing have had circled on our calendars, we came away with a really great result last time we were here at Iowa Speedway in May, and look forward to building upon that this weekend. With an 8th place finish in our only career start at Iowa Speedway, it speaks volumes about our equipment and our team members, but we feel like we have a lot of room to improve on that result this weekend. One characteristic we struggled with in May was the car's handling through the bumps, which are in the centers of both corners. Iowa has some really harsh winters and that wreaks havoc on racetracks, but for me I enjoy the challenge that it brings, its tougher on the driver to navigate your car through the rough patches but it also separates the good cars from the bad. This time around we're bringing a different suspension and aero package to Iowa Speedway for those exact reasons, and I really feel like we'll have a good grasp of the car's handling right off the trailer. It's also a huge honor to have the Just As I Am logo on the hood our No. 04 Toyota Camry this weekend. The foundation does a lot to bring awareness and helps fund research for Down Syndrome, something very close to myself, my family, and everyone at Bassett Racing."
