The IndyCar series has been racing at the 15-turn, 2.4 (3.86 km) Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course since 2007. The rustic road course has significant elevation changes as it was built on the side of a hill. The best known curves are the track are the 'Esses' - Turns four through seven - at the end of a long straight traditionally used as the starting line. The track has just 10,000 bleacher seats, but boasts a capacity of 75,000 using spectator mounds and other viewing points around the circuit.

The first CART race at the track dates back to 1980 with Johnny Rutherford taking victory in a Chaparral/Cosworth. The CART-era had few dominant drivers with Emerson Fittipaldi taking the most wins - three - in 12 tries. Fourteen different drivers won the 22 events.

With the change to IndyCars, there has been one name above all other at Mid-Ohio - Scott Dixon. The Ganassi driver has won four times (2007, 2009, 2011, 2012) in seven tries and had never started lower than sixth in an IndyCar, until today. He'll start 22nd after losing his two best laps after spinning in yesterday's tricky qualifying conditions and causing a red flag. Dixon's worst finish was a fifth place result in 2010.

Sebastien Bourdais will start from Pole and his previous best result - in three tries - is a fourth place finish in 2012. Today, he'll have a shot at changing that stat.

Also starting on the front-row will be Josef Newgarden who has never won in an IndyCar in 47 tries. We don't see victory in the cards for him today either.

Starting third today will be Tony Kanaan who has never finished better than fourth at Mid-Ohio, and hasn't won an IndyCar event since his famous 2013 Indianapolis 500 victory.

Our pick today, is Sebastien Bourdais. While we would love to pick Kanaan for a win he has been working so hard for, Bourdias is going to have the track position and the car to stay up front while most of the top road course challengers will start well back in the pack.

But, keep an eye on Penske's Will Power and Andretti Autosport's Ryan Hunter-Reay who start fifth and sixth respectively.

Enjoy the race! It is sure to be a great one!
