@KyleLarsonRacin – Pumped to get the pole for the race! @Target @TeamChevy was real fast. I think I'm starting to like Pennsylvania more now.

@KeithRodden – Great job by @jamiemcmurray and our entire @badboybuggies team today. Car was better than the first race...proud of @CGRTeams hard work!

Jamie McMurray and No. 1 McDonald’s Team

Pocono Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returned to the Pocono Mountains for the second race in nine weeks at Pocono Raceway and the GoBowling.com 400. Driving the Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet SS, Jamie McMurray started from the eighth position and maintained a strong run throughout the 160-lap race. McMurray, who averaged a 10th place running position crossed the finish-line seventh.

McMurray at The Glen: McMurray has made 11 previous starts at Watkins Glen. He has one top-five, two top-ten finishes and has led 13 laps. McMurray has an average starting position of 15.5 and an average finish of 19.5. He has completed 895 of 994 (90%) laps of competition. His best qualifying result was a front row start from the second position in 2010 and a best finish of third in 2006.

Golden Arches: McDonald’s will be back as the primary sponsor on the No. 1 Chevy SS this weekend at WGI. There is no reason to go hungry on your way to the track, McDonald’s has several locations near WGI, including the closest restaurant located at 3327 Chambers Rd, Horseheads, N.Y. (607) 796-9278

Kyle Larson and No. 42 Target Team

Pocono Recap: In only his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Pocono Raceway, Kyle Larson won his first career pole, setting a new track record in the process. The weekend started off well for Team Target with Larson winning the pole and showing good speed in practice. However, after starting off the race at the head of the field, Larson fell back early in the race and was unable to work his way back to the front en route to an 11th place finish.

Larson at Watkins Glen: This will be Larson’s first NSCS start at Watkins Glen, but his second trip to the road course. Larson made a start last year racing for Turner Scott Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), and he will also be competing in the NNS race again this year.

Focus on the Feet: Larson will have an in-car camera trained on his feet this weekend as he works the pedals on his way around Watkins Glen. The camera, which Kellogg’s will be sponsoring, will give race fans watching on television a unique view during the race of Larson’s feet, which will be more active than usual. Road course driving requires much more shifting and pedal work than ovals, so look for some fancy footwork during the race as Larson gets on and off the gas, engages the clutch, and works the brake as he gets through the turns and into the straights.

A Shopping Bullseye: If you have made it to the race only to find out you’ve forgotten to pack a few necessities, there’s no need to worry. For all your last minute needs and forgotten items, Target has all of the essentials and more. The nearest Target is located at 930 County Road 64, Elmira, N.Y. and can be reached at (607) 796-5910. Call ahead and make sure they have what you need.
