Nagashima Heads To ‘The Brickyard' For The First Time

Young Japanese ace Tetsuta Nagashima is heading to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway for this weekend’s race in the United States of America.

The 22-year-old has not had much time to himself during the three-week break, with testing and racing in the prestigious Suzuka Eight-Hour endurance race. But now, it’s back from a Superbike to a Moto2 pure-race machine as he heads to the 2.591 mile circuit and its challenging series of ten left-handed corners and six right-handed ones.

Tetsuta Nagashima, Teluru team JiR Webike’s rider

“My summer break from Moto2 was quite busy with the Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance race, so honestly I had nearly no time to rest and spent my days at the race track. Although we had some technical problem on our bike and had no result, this experience had given me some important ideas for my riding style and I'm sure that this will help my second part of the season of Moto2. Now I strongly intend to get into the points so that I'll try not to be too aggressive and instead I will be more intelligent about how I approach the weekend. I understand that his second half of the season will be very important for myself and the future, I'll try to be concentrating even more and be consistent. As always, Indianapolis will be another new track for me, but I'm ready to give my best after spending a week on a superbike!”
