Nagashima Aiming For Improvements Tomorrow

Tetsuta Nagashima has been steadily learning the challenging new layout of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway circuit.

The track is scene for round ten of the Moto2 World Championship race on Sunday and the 22-year-old Japanese rider has been learning the circuit and finding grip levels on his Team JiR Webike Moto2 machine. At the front, Swiss rider Dominque Aegerter leads Sandro Cortese and series leader Esteve Rabat.

“I've heard that several part of the race track were modified and they have put new Tarmac here at Indianapolis and obviously this had made the lap time lot quicker compare to last year. Although I have no comparison from last year, I had struggled with less grip of the track but I learned that all the riders are having the similar problem. I tried to make as many laps as possible without any big changes for learning the track today as I'd done the same at the other circuits, and I'm getting to have a feeling the end of the day. We'll make some changes tomorrow regarding to the data from today, and I would like to challenge for making better lap times. The weather is a bit unstable for the moment, and I'm strongly hoping that the track will stay dry tomorrow.”
