Mooresville, NC (August 12, 2014) - For the seventh time this season, Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Tyler Young will make his track debut, this time at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn for the Careers for Veterans 200 on Saturday, Aug. 16. In 11 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts this season, Young has recorded a series-best 15th-place finish twice and six top-20 finishes. Young would like nothing more than to continue his string of strong runs in the second half of the NCWTS schedule starting with this weekend's event at MIS.

A penny for your thoughts: Tyler Young, Driver, No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado -
"After wrecking at Pocono, it's important for this Young's Motorsports team to have a solid finish at Michigan this weekend. It was my first start at Pocono and I felt good about it. Then, I was running on the lead lap in the top 20 when I got wrecked, just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Something like that really puts a strain on a small team like this, but we can't let that get us down. We have to regroup and move on from it. I'm not sure what to expect this weekend at Michigan, because I've never been there. I know it's a fairly new repave which will mean a lot of grip and a widened groove. Track position and horsepower tend to be key there. We have a decent amount of practice on Friday, so I should have plenty of time to get up to speed."

Calling The Shots:
Calling the shots for the No. 02 Young's Motorsports team is veteran crew chief Bryan Berry. As an 11-year veteran of the NCWTS, Berry has 189 starts to his resume including five starts at Michigan. His success at the 2-mile D-shaped oval includes two top-five and three top-10 finishes with Brendan Gaughan.

Chassis History:
Young's Motorsports will unload chassis No. 04 for the first time in 2014 in Saturday's Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Rookie Race:
Following a 26th-place finish at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Young holds serve on third in the 2014 Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings. The Midland, Tex. native is now six points behind second-place Mason Mingus and 46 points behind leader Ben Kennedy.

Rearview Mirror - Pocono:
Young made his debut in the Pocono Mountains 150 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway from the 23rd position, running as high as sixth before being taken out on lap 59 of 64 relegating the Young's Motorsports driver to a 26th-place finish. The disappointing result was the rookie's first finish outside the top-20 since Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May.

Truck Series Fast Facts:
2014 marks Young's first full-time season in the NCWTS
Young has made 22 starts in the series since 2012
First start - Rockingham (2012)
Best start - 13th, Bristol (2012)
Best finish - 15th, Texas Motor Speedway (June, 2014) & Eldora Speedway (July, 2014)
