Tetsuta Nagashima Aiming For Better At Brno

22-year old Japanese racer Tetsuta Nagashima is aiming for an improved performance this weekend at the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic.

Following hot on the heels of the race at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend, this Sunday’s race is no less legendary. Grand prix racing began at Brno back in 1965 on the famous 8.6 mile road circuit. By 1982 the track was deemed too dangerous, but in 1987 a new 3.35 mile track was completed and GP racing again returned, this time with Australian Wayne Gardner as winner in the 500cc class. Popular with both riders and fans, the track itself sits in a natural amphitheatre. Sunday’s Moto2 race will be over 20 laps.

Tetsuta Nagashima, Teluru team JiR Webike’s rider

“I find there are lots of high-speed corners in Brno, and as I had quite positive feeling at Indy in the high-speed corners, I'm expecting to make a good performance there. Unfortunately I'm still struggling with the slow corners so we have to work out a solution. As it's a flowing track, it's important to find a good rhythm to make good lap times, I will watch and learn more by checking out MotoGP images and videos and just give my best as always.”
