Jeff Gordon to visit Dogfish Head Brewery and Rehoboth Beach, Del. as part of NASCAR Victory Tour


NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jeff Gordon will visit the Dogfish Head Brewery and Rehoboth Beach boardwalk on Wednesday, Aug. 20 as part of NASCAR’s Victory Tour. Gordon will be joined by Sam Calagione, founder of the Dogfish Head Brewery, who is serving as Coastal Delaware’s ambassador and will welcome him to the area.

The four‐time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion will be in Delaware promoting the Sept. 28 "AAA 400" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway, and will be joined in the Q&A by Sam Calagione. Mike Bagley, of the Motor Racing Network and host of The Morning Drive on SiriusXM NASCAR radio, will emcee the event.

The free event is open to the public and will take place at the bandstand on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, located at the end of Rehoboth Avenue.

NOTE: Media are invited and encourage to participate in the entire day’s activities and transportation will be provided. Only the hosted Q&A with Gordon and Calagione at the Rehoboth Beach bandstand is open to the public.

Gordon is in town to promote the Sept. 28, 2014 "AAA 400" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the first‐ ever knockout event in the newly formatted Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. His schedule for the day is as follows:

„ 11:30 a.m. — Gordon arrives at Dogfish Head Brewery (6 Cannery Village Center, Milton, DE 19968), where owner Sam Calagione will lead a brewery tour, beer tasting and more.  

„ 1 p.m. — Depart Dogfish Head Brewery. Media transportation will be provided.

„ 1:30 p.m. — Media lunch with Gordon at Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats (320 Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971)

„ 2:15 p.m. — Gordon and media transported to Rehoboth Beach bandstand (located on the boardwalk at the end of Rehoboth Ave.)

„ 2:30 p.m. — Free fan question‐and‐answer session with Gordon and Calgione, hosted by SiriusXM and Motor Racing Network personality Mike Bagley, a Delaware native.

„ 3 p.m. — Departure
