Racking Up The Wins and Chasing the Titles

Motorcycle Superstore / Bell Helmet Support Riders have been on a rampage in 2014. They have been hogging podiums across the country in a variety of race disciplines. Below is a sampling of how our top guys are performing.

Bookmark and Share
AMA Pro Flat Track - Pro Singles
KYLE JOHNSON: Pro Singles Points Leader - Kyle started out the year in Daytona with a not so stellar 18th place finish but has since been on a tear, winning four of the rounds overall and several top ten finishes... bottom line, he is leading the series against some very solid riders. If you follow Flat Track, then you'll know the next four rounds will be crucial for Kyle to capture the Pro Singles Title.

Honorable Mention: Ryan Wells and Jarod VanDerKooi are running 3rd and 4th in the series. Both could easily put a string of wins together and take the title.

Grand National Cross Country Series - GNCC
KACY MARTINEZ: Women's Pro Class Champion - After 9 of the 13 rounds, Kacy has already been crowned the champion with eight overall wins and one 2nd place finish. That's not an easy feat as this class was stacked with talent including former WMX champion Jessica Patterson. For fun she showed up at Round 1 of EnduroCross and won the Pro Women's Class. For giggles she won Round 5 of the AMA National Enduro and Round 7 of the WORCS Series and her highlight of the year is her X-Games Gold Medal in Enduro-X. Kacy still has four months of racing left!

Honorable Mention: Motorcycle Superstore's Charlie Mullins was leading the points series up through Round 7. A practice accident, which broke both wrists, has sidelined Charlie for the last two rounds - yet he still stand 2nd in the points race. His return date is still unknown.

GEICO EnduroCross Series
CODY WEBB: Pro Class Points Leader - Chances are, if Cody is racing, Cody will be on the podium. He started the year out by winning the King of the Motos, followed with a Round 1 EnduroCross win, then won the Last Dog Standing. Cody took a Silver Medal at the Austin X Games and finished second at Round 2 of the Sacramento EnduroCross which he now leads the series in points. This weekend he will be racing in Indianapolis at the extreme off-road event known as the TKO. The following weekend he will race in Atlanta for Round 3 of the GEICO EnduroCross series.

MORGAN TANKE: Women's Pro Class Leader - Morgan, Motorcycle Superstore's newest support rider and will make her debut in Atlanta EnduroCross, where she is leading the series - in fact, Motorcycle Superstore Bell Helmet pilots have the first five spots covered with Chantelle Bykerk, Rachel Gutish, Rily Ellinger and Lexi Pechout in close pursuit of Morgan's lead. Next weekend's Atlanta round will be fun to see who shakes out on top.

World Off Road Championship Series - WORCS
GARY SUTHERLIN: Pro Class Points Leader - With eight of the nine rounds completed, Motorcycle Superstore's Sutherlin has solid control of the series with five overall wins, one 2nd and one 7th place finish. Gary, the 2013 Hare Scrambles West Champion, is currently nursing a broken collarbone but will be back in time for Round 8 on September 12 at Glen Helen in Devore, CA

TRAVIS COY: Pro 2 Class Points Leader - Coy is part of the RPM/KTM team and has put in an impressive string of rides with overall wins at five of the rounds. Coy is also in solid control of his class points race and, with a strong finish, should clinch the championship at the next round.

AMA National Enduro Championship Series
ANDREW DELONG: Pro Class Points Leader - This might be our favorite series... not only is Andrew the points leader, but Motorcycle Superstore support riders Jesse Groemm and Nick Fahringer are tied for 2nd in the points chase. That means the custom Bell Moto 9 / Superstore helmets are dominating the podiums. Honorable Mention: Craig DeLong is leading the Expert AA Class. Rachel Gutish is running 3rd in the Women's Pro Class.

AMA National Hare Scrambles Series - West
JACOB ARGUBRIGHT: Pro Class Points Leader - In 2013 Jacob made a statement by winning several off-road events and Team Husqvarna came knocking on his door with a 2014 contract. Jacob and his Husky now have a comfortable lead in the Hare Scrambles West points race with only two rounds remaining. Along the way, Jacob also scored overall wins at Rounds 4 & 5 of the AMA National Hare & Hound series.

Canadian Cross Country Series
BOBBY PROCHNAU: Pro Class Champion - It's not a large series or a very well known one - unless you live in Canada. Winning a championship up north gives you the bragging rights for the year and by winning every round of the series, FMF/RPM/KTM's Bobby Prochnau gets
to do the bragging.

AMA Big 6 Grand Prix Series
ERIC YORBA: WCGP Pro Class Points Leader - Another stellar member of the FMF/RPM/KTM team, Eric has two overalls and two 2nd place finishes in the series. It's called the Big 6 but there are actually eight rounds, and at the half way point, Eric has a solid lead in the series.

TATUM SIK: Women Expert Points Leader - Here is a girl who likes to ride and race... doesn't make a difference if it is a motorcycle or a pogo stick. Tatum has some skills and the lead in the series with a 3rd and three 1st place finishes... but wait... Superstore's 2 013 class champion Elizabeth Bash is running a close second with one 1st place finish and three 2nds. With four rounds left, this will be a fun one to watch.

Women's Motocross Championship Series
MACKENZIE TRICKER: Championship Points Leader - For 2014, the WMX series has eight rounds, four of which have been dominated by Mackenzie. The likeable Australian migrates to the U.S. for each round then goes back down under to her job at McDonalds to earn more cash to come back and race. There are four more races to go and with two throwaways, Mckenzie just needs two strong finishes to take the title.

AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship
Congratulations to the following riders who won titles.
MACKENZIE TRICKER: Women's 14+ Class Champion
CHAD MURPHY: Vet B/C 30+ Class Champion
AIDEN EYLER: 51 (4-6) Shaft Drive Ltd Class Champion
