Biffle Earns Top-10 Finish In Roush Performance Ford At Michigan

Greg Biffle drove his No. 16 Roush Performance Ford to a 10th-place finish Sunday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway. The No. 16 proudly displayed Roush Performance Parts at the home track for Jack Roush with Roush Industries and Ford being located a short distance away. Biffle started the race 11th, held his ground in the top 10 the majority of the race, but got loose in traffic and as the race went on, losing track position and ultimately crossing the finish line 10th.

“It was a great day for us because we had a lot more speed than last time here,” said Biffle. “I lost the handle the last quarter of the race. I feel like we had a top-five car but the last quarter of the race the track started to slicken up and guys came on hard like the No. 15 and other guys. We have worked really hard and been off all year. It is a huge improvement for us.”

Biffle started off a little loose at Michigan, but after a two tire pit stop under caution and a track bar adjustment he worked his way into the top 10. With just the minor adjustments Biffle cracked the top five, but reported back that he was still a little free.

As the race progressed the track became slicker and Biffle continued to struggle with grip. On the last pit stop the team pulled a left front shim and dropped the track bar in order to help Biffle with more rear grip. The closing laps were caution filled and Biffle did his best on restarts in traffic to keep his Ford up front. By the time the checkered flag fell, Biffle crossed the finish line 10th in his No. 16 Roush Performance Ford.
