Hawk Performance has signed on as the new presenting sponsor for this year's event. Hawk Brakes is a leading supplier of severe duty and high-performance friction products for the motorsports and performance aftermarket.

"We are pleased that Hawk Performance is onboard for the 12th running of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill," Jerry Kunzman, NASA executive director, said. "The portfolio of Hawk Performance products is a perfect fit for this event. Their brake pads and performance rotors get a workout during this great event."

"This year we are expecting a great field of 72 cars," Kunzman continued. "Thunderhill has recently expanded their racing surface to cover five-miles. We are still in the decision stage if we will use the full five-miles come December. However, 25 around 5 does have a nice ring to it."

The load in date for competitors will be Dec. 3, with Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 reserved for track arranged test days. The green flag will fly at 11 a.m. on Sat. Dec. 6 on the field that will consist of over 70 cars in six classes (E0, E1, E2, E3, ES, ESR).
