Grid passes for the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races will all be up for grabs in the Riders for Health auction at this year’s Day of Champions, which takes place on 28 August at Silverstone. The lucky grid pass winners will be at the very heart of the action, watching the world’s best riders and their teams as they prepare for the big race.

The money raised from the sale of these passes will help international charity, Riders for Health, reach people living in remote communities across Africa with reliable health care.

If you want to get your hands on a pair of grid passes, come along to the Silverstone circuit on Thursday 28 August and take part in the Riders for Health auction. Tickets for Day of Champions cost just £15 and are free for children aged 15 and under. To book tickets visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3750 640 and selection option 2. Tickets can also be bought on the gate for £18.

As well as these exclusive passes, the stars of MotoGP will be taking to the stage to auction unique memorabilia and experiences. Ahead of his last ever British MotoGP race, 2002 World Superbike Champion Colin Edwards will be opening the auction, selling what will be an historic set of racing leathers. This will be the ‘Texas Tornado's’ last Day of Champions appearance as a MotoGP rider after he announced his retirement earlier in the season.

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez will be auctioning his very own elbow sliders and one of the most popular faces in the paddock, Valentino Rossi, will be giving fans the chance to take a selfie with him.

Boots, helmets and gloves will be on offer from riders such as Bradley Smith, Stefan Bradl and Jorge Lorenzo, as well as one of last year’s most popular auction items - a Bridgestone tyre signed by all of the season’s MotoGP riders.

As well as the auction, Day of Champions is packed with plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including live music and stunt shows from the Tigers Motorcycle Display Team and world famous trials rider Dougie Lampkin. Fans of classic bikes will be able to visit the stunning display of bikes in the Classic Bike Village, and see special guest John Cooper.

On stage, famous faces from the MotoGP paddock will be battling it out in ‘A Question of Bikes’ quiz, hosted by Matt Roberts, and BT Sports commentator Julian Ryder will be interviewing the up and coming stars of Moto2 and Moto3.

All of the money raised from Day of Champions will help Riders for Health ensure health workers in Africa have access to reliable, well maintained motorcycles and ambulances so that they can continue to deliver life-saving health care to 14 million people.
