Tomac Looks To Tear Up The Track In Utah For Another Win

Following a rain-dampened weekend in Indianapolis, GEICO Honda 450cc rider Eli Tomac will look to rebound and cap off his 2014 Pro Motocross season with a moto win in the Utah National at Miller Motorsports Park, Aug. 23, in Toole, Utah.

Even though he wasn't able to keep his streak of podium finishes alive, Tomac trudged through the mud in a hard-fought moto at Ironman Raceway and finished seventh overall. However, the young GEICO Honda rider wasn't satisfied with his results and would only feel fulfilled to finish his season on top of the podium.

"My game plan is the same as it always is: I'm looking for podium finishes and ultimately a win," Tomac said. "Whether it's the last race of the season or the first, my goal never changes. I wasn't able to complete that goal last week, so I'm hungrier than ever to complete it."

While the altitude may throw some of the riders for a loop this weekend, Tomac will feel right at home. The Cortez, Col., native grew up racing in elevation and ultimately excels at those types of courses.

"With Miller Motorsports Park being an elevation course, I should get along with it really well," Tomac said. "It's just like racing at home in Colorado. My bike will feel just fine and I should be able to drive that type of course pretty well. I'm excited to be wrapping up the season on a track that feels like home. Bring it on."

Tomac will look to score another win when the first 450 moto starts at 3 p.m. ET, with live coverage on MAVTV. Coverage of the second 450 moto will be live at 5 p.m. on ProMotocross.com with delayed coverage on NBCSN at 6:30 p.m.
