Multimatic Appoints Jean Marchioni as General Manager of its European Technical Centre (MTCe)

Continuous demand driven growth has necessitated a reorganization of Multimatic's European Technical Centre in Thetford, Norfolk, UK (MTCe). The addition of a new engineering department, significant growth in the company's Mechatronics Centre of Excellence and expansion into a new facility to accommodate a growing headcount has necessitated a change in leadership.

To reinforce its position as a global leader in the areas of body and suspension engineering for both the road and competition car markets, Multimatic has appointed Jean Marchioni as General Manager of MTCe.

Jean joined Multimatic in 2012 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience of the motorsport industry having played significant roles in both the competition management and manufacturing aspects of the business. Jean joined Multimatic from Lola where he had held the position of Managing Director, which followed a number of years leading a front running LMP team. Jean also ran his own manufacturing and retail business in California for over a decade where he worked with many of today's driving stars when they were competing in Karts. His most recent tenure has been as the Director of Sales & Program Engineering for Multimatic's European mainstream automotive business. This unique mix of experiences has prepared him perfectly to continue the outstanding operational management legacy of MTCe while enhancing the company's customer focus in both the motorsports and production car industries.

Multimatic's Vice President, Larry Holt said: "Jean worked for our group back in 2012 just after he left Lola and really got to know our products and customers. He has briefly filled a very important role on the mainstream side of Multimatic, with excellent results, but it is truly great to get him back to MTCe where he will be able to make a significant contribution to moving the company ahead as our business continues to grow at a rapid rate. Every member of our team is looking forward to the positive approach that he brings to everything he touches."

Jean Marchioni said: "It was a truly great experience to work for the Product Services organization of Multimatic and I learned a lot about the entire global product portfolio, which will be invaluable in my new role. However, I am extremely happy to be back on the motorsports and automotive engineering side, it is where I grew-up and what I know. I'm immediately going to go on the road to visit our customers and find out what they need as well as telling them what we have for them. The pace of technical development within Multimatic's Engineering Group is spectacular and I am going to be extremely focused on communicating our capabilities and products to the industry."

Multimatic's products, services and expertise are utilized by leading global automotive manufacturers as well as many of the world's most successful motor racing organizations including several Formula One and LMP1 teams.
