2014 Atlanta: Reed Sorenson NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Preview

Reed Sorenson and Tommy Baldwin Racing head to Hotlanta this weekend for the 25th race of the Sprint Cup season. Sorenson has 11 NSCS starts in Atlanta as well as nine starts in the Nationwide Series. His average Sprint Cup finish is 25.2. It will also be a homecoming for the 28-year-old as he's a native of Peachtree City, GA.

Meet Reed / Appearances: Reed Sorenson will be making several appearances this weekend at his home track. Starting on Saturday, Sorenson will be at the Atlanta Fan Zone stage at 2 P.M. On Sunday, he will stop by the Chevrolet display at 5 P.M. for a Q&A, followed by an autograph session.

Bristol Recap: Sorenson and the No. 36 team had a solid weekend at the Tennessee bullring. After qualifying 36th, Sorenson and crew chief Todd Parrott worked hard to get the TBR Chevy adjusted for Saturday's Irwin Tools Night Race. After going two laps down early in the race, several back-to-back cautions helped Sorenson receive the wave around, and get the "Lucky Dog" award. Unfortunately, a lengthy green flag run caused the No. 36 to drop to 24th, finishing with another solid top-25.

Sorenson Says: "I'm looking forward to heading home to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. I always enjoy getting to go back to where I first started racing. I've had some great runs in the past, and it would be great to continue the momentum this No. 36 TBR team has been having, and get another solid finish."
