The front row for the Moto3 British Grand Prix will feature both Alex Rins and Alex Marquez, after the two continued their strong pace from the three practice sessions in the qualifying run. Rins took a third pole position of the season and will share the first line of attack with Antonelli and Alex Marquez, who for the sixth race in succession is on the front row.

In the opening session of the day, Rins and Marquez took another step forward and dropped more than a second off their previous best times –placing first and third, respectively. In qualifying, both battled for the top spot which finally went Rins' way, as he set a 2:13.112 time and broke the circuit record at Silverstone in the process. Marquez experienced more traffic than on his previous hot laps, and he clocked a 2:13.450 time to take third on the grid.

Tomorrow the Moto3 race will be last up at the British Grand Prix. The start will be taken at 2:30pm, local time.

Alex Rins 1st 2:13.112 29 laps 171 km
"From Friday we have felt very comfortable with the bike. Thanks to the great work by the team we managed to solve the small problems we had and we seem to have found the right way to go. Tomorrow we need to confirm this in the race, but we know it will be difficult, because as always there will be many riders in a group and we have to play our cards right. Along with my teammate Alex [Marquez], it seems that we have the best pace, but this class has shown that it is not just about that".

Alex Marquez 3rd 2:13.450 29 laps 171 km
"The practice sessions were very tight and it was important to take a place on the front row of the grid for tomorrow. I think we've done a good job, but we have lacked the luck of a good reference or at least less traffic. I'm happy with the front row and focusing on tomorrow, because we have a good pace. The important thing is to make a good start and push from the moment the lights go out, so that the group is a little smaller than it was at Brno. It will be difficult, because there are many straights. Our aim will be cut further points from Miller's lead".
